This really is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for enthusiasts of Spitfires, as you’ll get the unique opportunity to be the sole passenger on this coastal Spitfire flight. Following the same flight paths taken by many Battle of Britain pilots during WWII, you’ll head over the stunning White Cliffs of Dover for a 55 minute flying experience, including 45 minutes airborne. And there’s no more appropriate a departure point than from Biggin Hill Airport in Kent, which was the home of the Spitfire fighter bases during the Battle of Britain. You’ll take off and head over the Kentish Downs towards Dover and its outstandingly beautiful White Cliffs, stood majestically some 500 ft above the English Channel. You’ll also pass over the Battle of Britain Memorial Centre at Capel-le-Ferne, instantly recognisable from the White Cliffs chalk stone statue carved by sculptor Harry Gray, which is both a poignant yet simply fitting tribute to the context of its location and its significance. Flying in a Spitfire carries certain elements of risk which will be clearly explained prior to your flight, on the day you'll also be shown a detailed video explaining these risks, if you decide not to proceed or cannot fit safely inside the cockpit you can exchange your experience or request a refund
