For some of us it's not only about Ferrari's; Lamborghini's and Porsche's - you want something a bit more down to Earth. There's nothing quite like the thrill of a tuned pocket rocket - try this 139BHP GTi MK2 with TrackDays today. Volkswagen introduced a small vehicle called the Golf GTI forty years ago. You may be familiar with it - we certainly are at TrackDays. However, a car that is now seven generations along and two million orders strong, and boasting a lap record at the Nürburgring (not forgetting several notable Top Gear appearances like Jeremy Clarkson driving one around the inside of a supermarket), had a fairly controversial beginning. It was created by a group of six individuals led by Anton Konrad, the publicity department's head at VW rather than an engineer. He was technically breaking the rules by developing a fast version of the recently introduced Golf hatchback when VW was supposed to completely shun performance cars at the time. It was a car that VW were confident that nobody wanted - selling 30,000 units in the first year, and by the conclusion of the Mk1, another 420,000. Enough said. This is your chance to drive a 139BHP Golf GTi MK2 - arguably the most iconic model of the series - for up to 3 miles at a selection of UK tracks and circuits.

Vouchers are valid for 10 months. There is a Premium Venue upgrade fee to take this experience at Castle Combe, Mallory Park, Sunderland Circuit and Blyton Park. There is an upgrade fee to book a weekend date at all venues for this experience. Please note availability at Perranporth and Stoneleigh will be extremely limited. All upgrades can be purchased when you checkout (next page).

  • A full drivers license is required and must be shown on the day of the event to participate.
  • Drivers must be able to understand instructions given to them in English
  • Anyone deemed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to participate.
  • Please do not buy this experience if the driver is only able to travel to one of the venue choices, they must be as flexible as the voucher is subject to venue availability.
  • Venue-specific vouchers are not available to buy.

Selected weekend and weekdays from January to December. Dates and spaces fill fast and are subject to availability, please book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Unless pre-purchased, you will be offered a Collision Damage Waiver on the day. This is optional, but if it isn't taken out and you damage the vehicle you will be liable for the excess. Please be aware that if you do not opt for the damage waiver, credit card details are taken for a £5000 insurance excess, however, no money is taken from the card unless there is damage to the car. Details of the waiver are made clear at the sign on.

In the event of the day being cancelled due to extreme weather or circumstances out of our control, you will be offered alternative dates to re-book.
