What Is A Hovercraft Experience?

Our range of Hovercrafts have to be some of the most versatile vehicles we offer for Off Road driving experiences here on TrackDays. Why? Well, ACVs (air cushioned vehicles as they are also known) can go just about anywhere - land, water. Their amphibious nature means they offer speed, power and maximum fun wherever they may be.

And as you'll also discover, the minimum age requirement for most of our Hovercraft packages is 14 years and up. So whether you're just in your pre-teens or of the older variety, in a family or even a group of friends, there's great fun for everyone to enjoy on these unique driving day packages.

What Happens on a Hovercraft Experience?

Whichever session you opt for, whether it's a blast session in a larger group or a 1:1 experience with a qualified hovercraft instructor, your day out on the hovercraft course will begin with a welcome and safety briefing from an instructor, who will talk you through what to expect and also ensure your safety is a prime consideration at all times.

From there, it's time to get kitted up with your helmet for a practice session, where you'll learn all the basics of driving the hovercraft. The great thing about this is that even if you don't take like a duck to water on your trial run, you can be the driver or passenger on any of these experiences. So even if it's the instructor at the controls, you'll get to enjoy air-fuelled fun that's sure to be remembered for years to come.

Where Can I Drive a Hovercraft?

Our range of Hovercraft days currently take place at one of two locations across the UK, all with fantastic access from nearby surrounding counties.

Those in the East Midlands can enjoy one of two packages that are run at a dedicated hovercraft racing site near Husbands Bosworth in Leicestershire, perfect for those in Loughborough or Leicester.

Whilst over in the West Midlands, there is a group package available for up to six on an open grass site to enjoy at an outdoor centre in Warwickshire, easily accessible for those in say, Stratford-upon-Avon or Birmingham.
